|
The student finds an interesting and challeging work placement with the help of the co-ordinator.
He takes a four-month intensive training through a work placement in an internationally oriented organisation. The language spoken is not his mother tongue. He will become confronted with real problematic issues in the world of communication. At the same time he will be able to upgrade his language skills.
The challenging job responsibilities and a foreign working environment will turn the work placement intoan unforgettable intercultural once- in-a-lifetime-experience.

Wwork placement:
- The idea of work placements starts from a win-win operation which is an asset for both the company and the student.
- The student and the company representative will draw a work placement programme before the start of the work placement and sign a contract.
- In the progamme you can find the specific objectives and assignments of the workplacement.
- The student is able to evaluate himself and his assignments critically.
- He can report coherently and clearly about them.
- The company supervisor and the university supervisor evaluate the work placement and they decide if the specific aims are achieved.
Work placement report:
- The student proves in the work placement report that he has achieved all the specific aims of the work placement.and his education.
- He is able to evaluate himself and his assignments critically.
- He is able to report coherently and clearly on his assignments and on the company he worked for.
- He can also deal professionally and maturely with intercultural differences.

The minimum prerequisite to this programme is a degree comparable to e European Bachelor or Master in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Business Studies and Languages and toegepaste economische wetenschappen and handelswetenschappen with specialisation in Marketing.

Verdere toelichting:
During the work placement the company supervisor will support the trainee by using the criteria mentioned in the evaluation form and by giving feedback. After approximately eight weeks and at the end of the period, the company supervisor gives the trainee an oral and written evaluation on the evaluation form.
The university supervisor keeps contact with the trainee on a regular basis, and supports the trainee with regular feedback on the practical training.
